A celebrity may not be all he/she seems to be. There's a lot of talk about certain musical performers entertaining the family of a tyrannical leader. You better believe a celebrity's publicist will be to clean up the leak and paint their client in a more favorable light. If your favorite performer told their fans how much they believe in human rights, and takes $1 Million dollars to perform for a tyrannical leader, what do you think this will do to their image? They better return the money or explain themselves to their adoring fans. If they don't, their CD and other merchandising sales could decrease.
